Temporary Worker Application
To work in Canada, a person must meet the general requirements for entering Canada and staying here as well as getting a work permit.
To apply for a work permit a person must meet the following criteria:
• Possess a valid job offer from a Canadian employer
• Complete an application for a work permit
• Possess a written confirmation from HRSDC that the employer can hire the foreign worker to fill the job, referred to as a positive "Labour Market Opinion" (Please note that for some jobs a "Labour Market Opinion" may not be required.)
